Design is the center, purpose, and joy of my life. Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator and the list goes on. With 18 years of design experience, my only competition is me.
As someone who practices design and some form of creativity daily, I am only getting better as I practice. Originally a graphic designer by trade and currently a UX designer and researcher, creating user-centered experiences for marginalized communities has been my motivation.
I am a Graphic Designer and UX/UI Designer with a strong focus on the beauty industry. I’ve had the opportunity to design for a variety of industries, bringing creativity, and visual storytelling to each project.
My graphic design work spans social media design, UX/UI prototypes, brand identity development, mockups, rebranding, and packaging design.
Although I have been a designer since 2007, I have been an artist for a lifetime. The type of art I create pays homage to and celebrates Black American culture. My artwork emphasizes the triumph of my culture and heritage.
Instead of using a narrative of tragedy regarding Black American culture, I celebrate the carried traditions through ancestry such as food, common inventions, and more.
As a proud weird-clothes wearer, I believe life is too infinite for boring clothing. Fashion is meant to be expressive and played with. I encourage all to dress for enjoyment.
Along with being myself unabashedly through my clothing choices, I aim to inspire others to do the same by creating unique, captivating, and high-quality apparel graphics.
